It was bittersweet for Owen and his teammates playing their last baseball game of the season. Their bond is strong, uplifting each other through each game’s challenges and triumphs. They also had a surprise victory to celebrate off the field. The team curiously watched as their coach called Owen to the front of the group and announced that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true! He received a gift package that sparked echoes of anticipation. His teammates cheered him on to open it and made guesses on what it could be.

Penelope received a Hero gift package as part of Kids Wish Network’s Hero of the Month program. She has a military parent who is currently deployed, and Kids Wish Network is grateful to honor her family for their service and sacrifices.

Hero Perseveres Through Hospitalization with a Brave Heart
Tristan is nothing short of a Hero. At such a young age, he has shown resilience, strength, and bravery beyond his years. He has undergone three surgeries, multiple IVs, x-rays, CT scans, picc line placement, and multiple days in the hospital. “He faced every procedure with a brave heart,” said his child life specialist. Tristan is a kid with grit and determination. He is a kind and considerate soul, always looking out for others and offering help when needed. Tristan is a loyal and caring friend, always making sure those around him feel valued and included. His bravery is truly inspiring. His big heart is what makes him Tristan.
