ORLANDO, Florida – Toni loves everything Disney, especially Minnie Mouse and the princesses. She’s also a huge fan of the Harry Potter movies. With her special wish, she enjoyed the best of both worlds—Disney World and the Universal theme parks featuring all her favorite characters.

Kids Wish Network flew Toni’s family to Orlando for her theme park adventure. At Disney, she met so many beloved characters, collecting 29 signatures in her autograph book. “I got to see lots of princesses,” said Toni. Meeting Mickey, Minnie, and Ariel—her favorite princess—was especially magical. She also loved the spectacular parade and fireworks, and her family explored all four Disney parks.

At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, one of her standout memories was meeting Spider-Man. They posed for photos together, and the park surprised her with a framed picture of their meeting—signed by Spider-Man himself. As a Harry Potter fan, she also loved experiencing the Harry Potter themed worlds across the Universal parks.

Toni’s dining experiences celebrated her in festive and thoughtful ways. Her family enjoyed dinner at The Boathouse at Disney Springs with beautiful lakefront views. The restaurant surprised her with a gift bag full of merchandise—and even included gifts for her sister. After dinner, they were treated to a ride on the lake in one of the restaurant’s rare vintage amphicars, fun amphibious vehicles that drive on land and float on water.

At Olive Garden, balloons and a card were waiting at her table, and Giordano’s made her meal extra special with a huge cookie for dessert. “I thought it was going to be like a regular cookie, but it was a gigantic cookie!” Toni said. All meals and special touches were generously provided by the restaurants.

Her special treatment continued at the Rosen Inn Hotel, which surprised her with Minnie-themed gifts including a plush doll, a pillow that transforms into a backpack, and a water bottle. The hotel provided a wonderful stay and generously donated accommodations for her wish.

“We took so many pictures,” said Toni’s mom, Tammy. “I’m going to make a photo book for Toni so she can always have it.” The memories and photos will always bring her back to her happy place.

Toni was diagnosed at birth with Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 1C, a rare form of muscular dystrophy caused by genetic mutations. As she grew older, she developed painful spasms and cramps in her legs and underwent several surgeries on her heel cords. She wears AFOs (ankle-foot orthoses) for stability and support, and copes with additional health complications.
