ORLANDO, Florida — Thor learned his wish was coming true in the most unforgettable way. At school, he was asked to solve a puzzle on the chalkboard using clues from his classmates. When he finished, the answer appeared: Disney. Kids Wish Network was sending him to Disney World! The classroom erupted with cheers and claps, and Thor was overjoyed to discover he’d be leaving the very next week.

Kids Wish Network flew his family to Orlando, where Thor’s wish trip became everything he dreamed of and more. At Disney World, he soaked up the magic — watching the enchanting parade, the dazzling fireworks, riding beautiful rides, and meeting Mickey, Minnie, and Donald. He cherished taking lots of photos with his favorite characters and experiencing all the wonder for the very first time. The family was also invited to enjoy a fun-filled day at LEGOLAND.

Their dining adventures made the trip even more special. At the T-Rex Café, they ate among life-size animatronic dinosaurs and special effects that created a fully immersive prehistoric world — and Thor was thrilled to be seated right in front of one of the performing dinosaurs. They also dined at The Cheesecake Factory, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and LongHorn Steakhouse. Even with so many options, Thor was happiest ordering his favorite food: mac and cheese. All meals were generously provided by the restaurants.

The family stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, where the resort generously donated adjoining rooms. Thor especially loved swimming in the stunning lagoon-style pool, complete with waterfalls and a waterslide. The resort also provided daily breakfast at its LakeHouse restaurant and gifted the family a premium cabana for a special VIP experience.

“I'm happy that our family was all there to have the memory together,” said Thor’s dad, Toua. “Every ride, and everywhere we went, we were all together, and we haven't had a time like this before. I really appreciate and am thankful for Kids Wish Network.”

Thor was diagnosed at four months old with dilated cardiomyopathy, a condition that causes the heart muscle to stretch and thin, making it difficult to pump blood effectively. He also had an AV block that disrupted his heart rhythm. Thor has undergone two heart surgeries — the first to repair his AV canal and insert a pacemaker, and the second to add an additional pacemaker to help balance his heart’s rhythm.
