Soccer Enthusiast Scores Heartfelt Victory with Inter Miami Wish!
Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Chase was full of anticipation, not knowing why he was called up on stage at his camp assembly. It felt so surreal hearing the special announcement that Kids Wish Network was making his dream come true, sending Chase and his family to an Inter Miami game, his all-time favorite soccer team! A roar of excitement echoed throughout the room, with his fellow campers full of awe, amazement, and genuine happiness for Chase. And nobody could have imagined how it would score him the most magical moments.
Kids Wish Network flew Chase’s family to Fort Lauderdale, where the highlight was seeing Inter-Miami play at their home stadium ironically named Chase Stadium. It was incredible having seats so close to the field, and being a part of the elevated energy of the enthusiastic crowds. With the partnership of hotel wish sponsor The Westin Fort Lauderdale, it was especially memorable for Chase to be among a select group of kids invited to join Inter Miami on the field, and shake hands with his favorite player, soccer superstar Lionel Messi! They also received VIP perks, indulging in delicious stadium fare. Having such an extraordinary experience continues to be a meaningful reminder that anything is possible for Chase, and to keep reaching for his goals on and off the field.
During his wish, his family enjoyed a taste of authentic Polynesian culture having dinner at The Mai-Kai, a historic landmark that celebrates Polynesian Islander heritage with its food, ambience, and legendary dance revue. They were treated so kindly by everyone, feeling embraced by the aloha spirit. Another day they dined at Longhorn Steakhouse. The family’s meals were graciously provided by the restaurants.
The Westin Fort Lauderdale generously provided beautiful hotel accommodations, and went above and beyond teaming up with Kids Wish Network to make Chase’s wish a trip to remember. “They were so welcoming and made everything special,” said his mom Jamie. Their thoughtfulness meant a lot to her, from them surprising Chase with soccer themed cupcakes, to elevating his game day festivities with his meaningful time on the field – they were all in for the victory!
His immersive wish was all about him and the things that bring him happiness. “I’m so grateful for the experience, thank you so much,” said Chase.
