Hero Shines as Exemplary Patient Throughout Hospitalization

Kaisen was very brave during his hospital stay, and listened to the RNs regarding his plan of care so he could feel better. He also coped with a tooth removal, and being treated for an infection that lasted several days. Kaisen additionally showed dedication in finishing his sticker chart so he could win a fun prize. Despite having additional personal challenges that made coping more difficult, he shined as an exemplary patient throughout his hospitalization.

He’s known to be loving and caring, and his sister even called him amazing. Kaisen is very sweet and has a big heart for others and his mom. His sister said he is very cool and very smart in school.

He was nominated by Child Life Specialist Lauryn Fenton at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. Kids Wish Network awarded Kaisen as a Hero of the Month for his determination, positivity and bravery in facing all the challenges of his hospitalization.
