Winter Haven, Florida – Devyn’s wish brought her family a VIP adventure filled with awe, excitement, and meaningful time together. LEGOLAND Florida and Merlin’s Magic Wand invited her for a special experience, with each magical moment captured for a promotional video for LEGOLAND’s Peppa Pig Theme Park.

Kids Wish Network flew Devyn’s family to Orlando for her once-in-a-lifetime wish. From the start, Devyn was celebrated in a truly special way, taking in all the fun of LEGOLAND and Peppa Pig Theme Park. Her family enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour, built a fish with a LEGO Master, explored the parks, and had the extra perk of bypassing all the ride lines. “It was a really personal experience that our family got to experience together,” said Devyn’s mom, Macalah. Devyn was also gifted large Peppa Pig and George plush toys as mementos of her day. All of the joy and excitement was documented by a professional videographer. Admission and experiences were generously provided by Merlin’s Magic Wand and LEGOLAND.

Staying in a Kingdom-themed room at the LEGOLAND Hotel Florida felt like stepping into a LEGO fairytale. The décor was vibrant and imaginative, and the kids had their own bunk bed area. “I really enjoyed opening up the hotel room door and seeing the kids’ reaction to it,” said Devyn’s dad, Rickey. They were instantly drawn to the giant bin of LEGOs. The resort donated a two-night stay, and Kids Wish Network purchased additional nights at a discounted rate.

During Devyn’s wish trip, her family also experienced the magic of Disney, visiting the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Classic rides created many treasured moments. They also visited SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, exploring the exhibits and even touching aquatic life for the first time. Admission to the aquarium was provided by Merlin’s Magic Wand.

Another highlight was dining and bowling at Splitsville Orlando. “The food was delicious, and the staff was so nice and kind,” said Devyn’s mom. “They also treated the kids to doughnuts, which they loved, and we had so much fun bowling.” Their meals and activities were courtesy of Splitsville.

“It was our first true family vacation with the kids, so all of it was really memorable,” said Devyn’s mom. “We got to spend a lot of time together and experience so many things for the first time. We really appreciate you all for giving us the opportunity, and the sponsors for helping to grant Devyn’s wish. It was truly remarkable, and we're so grateful.”

A few years ago, Devyn was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer that primarily affects young children. Despite a year-long battle with several rounds of chemotherapy, the cancer was aggressive, and she eventually needed to have her right eye surgically removed. She continues to have regular check-ups to monitor her health.
