Wish Says Yes to Splurging on Favorite Things

Milan, Illinois — If Joshua could turn his passion into a dream job, he’d be a game tester. His love for gaming even carries over into his favorite movies and shows.

Kids Wish Network granted Joshua a generous Walmart gift card for a serious power-shopping spree, and he wasted no time checking everything off his wish list. He picked out a Chromebook, an electric scooter, a Nintendo Switch, PS5 controllers, games for his PS5, a cooling fan, a charging station — and even some gifts for his mom and dad. With some funds still left over, he’ll be able to enjoy even more shopping.

Joshua was thrilled with his extravagant spree, and his excitement will continue each day as he enjoys his favorite new things.

Joshua copes with multiple diagnoses, including a KIF1A mutation — a progressive neurodegenerative disorder — as well as hereditary spastic paraplegia, which causes leg muscle weakness and tightness. He also has epilepsy, a brain condition that causes repeated seizures from abnormal electrical signals, and he deals with debilitating neuropathic pain.
