Target and Disney Are What This Teen Dreams Of

Kerrville, Texas — Like most teen girls, Allison loves to shop. If she could splurge anywhere, her dream destinations would be Target and the Disney Store. Thanks to Kids Wish Network, Allison can now enjoy both!

Her wish came true with generous gift cards to her favorite stores for the ultimate shopping spree. She also dreamed of visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and her Disney gift card can go toward park admission, dining, souvenirs, and more. However she chooses to use it, Allison will have fun experiencing all her favorite things.

Allison appeared healthy until a simple sprained ankle didn’t heal properly. Over time, more symptoms developed — her left arm and fingers began locking in abnormal positions. Within two years, she underwent 12 surgeries, including implantation of a brain stimulator to help control her muscle movements.

Allison has a disorder of the autonomic nervous system and progressive dystonia, which causes uncontrollable muscle movements that can spread to different parts of the body. Her journey has included multiple hospitalizations, the longest lasting 45 days.
