Wish Kid Gets a Splish-Splash Adventure at Great Wolf Lodge
Hammond, Indiana - Peyton’s happy place is water parks, and his wish coming true will take his love of water play to a whole new level of aquatic fun. Kids Wish Network is sending Peyton and his family on a splish splash adventure to the Great Wolf Lodge. The family-friendly resort has a massive indoor water park with a variety of play zones including water slides, a wave pool, lazy river, water fort treehouse, and additional water activities. Depending on the location they choose, the atmospheric lodges also offer bowling, mini golf, arcade games, a rock climbing wall, ropes course, mining experience, arts and crafts, story time, character appearances, restaurants, and an ice cream parlor. This explorer at heart will have the most exciting indoor adventure of his wildest dreams.
When Peyton was 9 months old, he had his first seizure. He was taken to the hospital, and a liver biopsy was key in finding out he had glycogen storage disease, which can cause problems in the liver, muscles, and other parts of the body. Peyton was given a nasogastric tube for nutrition, and later had it removed for the placement of a gastrostomy tube. He is currently taking medicine through a clinical trial. Peyton has additional medical complications that are believed to be related to his glycogen condition.
