Big Family, Big Dreams: Remington’s Christmas Wish Come True

Radford, Virginia – Remington adores Anna and Elsa from Frozen and is all about princesses. Now she has so much to look forward to with her own fairytale coming true. Her brother previously had his wish with Kids Wish Network, and now it is Remington’s turn.

Her family was planning a trip to Disney during the holidays, but having a large family made it difficult with all the costly expenses. Remington’s wish for her family to visit Disney World was a go, along with even more theme park excitement. Kids Wish Network helped facilitate Disney and Universal park hopper passes for her whole family.

They also received a generous Disney gift card from Kids Wish Network that can be used for dining, souvenirs, or to help with accommodations at Disney properties. Remington’s wish will feel even more magical happening at the most wonderful time of the year, with all the parks’ dazzling holiday lights and decorations. It will be a cherished getaway full of joy, wonder and heartfelt firsts, creating meaningful family memories.

Remington’s daily health struggles have been with her since birth. She was born premature and remained in the NICU for 90 days. Feeding issues kept her hospitalized for most of her first year of life.

She copes with a long list of medical conditions including eosinophilic esophagitis, tracheal stenosis, right middle lobe syndrome, tremors, congenital malformation of the brain, language disorder and reactive airway disease. She was most recently diagnosed with spina bifida, a birth defect of the spine and spinal cord that causes a variety of complications.

Remington has undergone multiple surgeries for hernia repairs and continues to persevere through her daunting array of health challenges.
