Haley’s Wish Brings a Year of Thrilling Adventures

Oakdale, Pennsylvania – Haley has always found her joy in the thrill of adventure—the rush of a roller coaster, shared laughter, and the memories made with her family at amusement parks. For Haley, these moments weren’t just fun—they were her escape, her happiness, and the place where she felt most free. 

From a young age, Haley’s journey has not been an easy one. She grew up facing developmental challenges, missing milestones and working tirelessly to keep up with the world around her. As the years went on, simple things became harder, and answers were slow to come. It wasn’t until the end of 7th grade that Haley and her family finally received a diagnosis: Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS), a rare genetic condition with no cure.  

Despite these challenges, Haley’s spirit never dimmed. Her family describes themselves as adventurous, always seeking out the next park, the next ride, the next moment of joy together. “It’s our thing,” her mom shared—traveling from place to place, holding tightly to the moments where nothing else mattered but being together.  

So when it came time to discover Haley’s greatest wish, her answer was simple: amusement parks. They were her happy place. 

One special day, during what seemed like an ordinary virtual meeting, Haley received a surprise that would change everything. As she watched and listened, she learned that her wish had come true—Platinum Annual Passes to Kennywood for her whole family.  

But this wish was so much more than tickets. It was an entire year of unforgettable experiences—access not just to Kennywood, but to Sandcastle, Idlewild & SoakZone, and Dutch Wonderland. It meant special events, exciting perks, souvenirs, and countless opportunities for Haley and her family to continue doing what they love most: being together, exploring, and making memories.  

For Haley, the magic wasn’t just in the rides—it was in the feeling. The feeling of wind rushing past her as she laughed freely. The feeling of walking from one adventure to the next. The feeling, for a moment, that the challenges she faces every day didn’t define her. 

This wish gives Haley something truly priceless: joy without limits and a year filled with moments where she could simply be a teenager, surrounded by love, laughter, and adventure. 

And as Haley looks ahead to the many park days waiting for her, one thing is certain—this is just the beginning of a thrilling journey, one filled with courage, resilience, and the kind of happiness that lingers long after the rides have ended.
