Orlando, Florida – For Henry whose continually struggled with Chromosome Abnormality Ketotic Hypoglycemia since even before he was born, his wish trip offered something beautifully simple: time to be a kid and make memories with the people he loves most. The celebration began close to home at Culver’s, where the restaurant set a special, decorated table for Henry and his family. The manager announced the exciting news of his wish, and Culver’s made the moment even sweeter with a surprise swag bag that helped kick off a week full of magic.

In Orlando, Henry’s wish came to life at Disney World in the most unforgettable way. He met Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, posed for photos, and collected autographs—then Mickey added an extra-special signature to a custom set of Mickey ears a family friend had made for Henry (complete with a hearing aid attached). The family explored all four Disney parks—and Henry quickly found what he loved most: the thrill rides. Henry’s mom, Morgan, said, “It was so refreshing for us to have undivided family time that did not revolve around hospitals or doctor's appointments… Just being able to make all of his wishes come true and seeing it through his eyes was magical.” One moment especially stayed with her: “The day we walked into the Magic Kingdom and he saw the castle… it made us cry… it was the best time ever.” It meant the world to his parents to see him carefree—able to feel like other kids and simply enjoy being in the moment.

Henry also received thoughtful surprises that made the experience feel personal and truly one-of-a-kind. Morgan shared that one Disney photographer was so kind and kept looking for them throughout the day to capture their special moments. On another day, a restaurant staff member recognized the family and explained that the photographer told her Henry was “a super special kid”—and before they knew it, Henry was taken to the back for one-on-one time with Donald and Daisy. At another character dining experience, when staff learned they were there for Henry’s wish, they were escorted to a private meet and greet—this time with all four characters waiting: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. They got a group photo and lots of hugs, and Morgan laughed, “I bet you he hugged Mickey for a minute straight!”

The adventure continued with visits to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, where the Harry Potter rides were the standout favorites. The family also made time for Kennedy Space Center, adding a completely different kind of wonder to Henry’s week. Another big highlight was Topgolf, where Henry soaked up all the special attention—and staff surprised him with a sundae that he absolutely loved.

Their family shared meaningful meals together, including dinners at Outback Steakhouse and BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. At Outback, the team went above and beyond—bringing a birthday card, singing to Henry, and gifting the family gift cards for a future visit. They were also scheduled to dine at Bahama Breeze, but had to cancel because Henry wasn’t feeling well. Throughout the trip, the family stayed at Element Orlando International Drive, which donated their accommodations, and the staff took time to truly get to know them and were incredibly sweet. Looking back, Morgan said, “We’re so thankful and appreciative that we were given that time as a family. It's something we'll never forget.”
