4-Year-Old Defies the Odds After Traumatic Injury

Barrett was accidentally run over by a riding lawn mower that his older brother was driving. He was inside the house when he looked out the door and saw the mower moving. Barrett ran outside, slipped on water, and uncontrollably slid under the mower. He lost two toes on his right foot, and almost everything on his left foot except for half of his pinky toe. Barrett may not have normal feet, but he is determined to do everything. If he sees his brother doing something, he has to try it out. He was told he would never walk again, and he proved that to be wrong just three months after his accident.

“Barrett is the biggest blessing we were given,” said his mom. “He inspires me to be a better person, and has taught me that nothing can hold you back from your dreams!”

Barrett’s mom nominated him, and Kids Wish Network is so happy to reward this incredibly resilient and unstoppable Hero.
