Wish Kid Gets the Royal Treatment Before and During Trip of a Lifetime
ORLANDO, Fla. (June 2023): Ensley received the royal treatment at the Chick-fil-A in her hometown of Claremont, Oklahoma. She entered on a red carpet, and was greeted with a sign, balloon arch, and decorated tables. It was time to get the surprise party started. Ensley’s immediate and extended family were awaiting her arrival to share in her amazing news. After the celebratory dinner, management came over with a princess Chick-fil-A cow, and announced that Kids Wish Network was making her dream come true. Ensley and her family were going to Orlando for a fun-filled wish trip to Disney World, Universal and Peppa Pig Amusement Park! Chick-fil-A kindly provided meals for Ensley’s celebration and gifted her a tiara, Mickey and Minnie plush, markers, and a coloring book for her travels. The sweet finish to her celebration included a mermaid cake provided by Walmart Supercenter in Claremore.
Kids Wish Network flew Ensley’s family to Orlando for her personalized wish trip. There were so many magical moments at the Magic Kingdom. “My favorite part was watching Ensley’s face during the parade,” said her mom Alicia. She also met Daisy Duck and Olaf, and saw Cinderella’s Castle for the first time. Other highlights for Ensley were going to Universal and exploring the Harry Potter attractions, Dr. Seuss World, and meeting Vampirina, as well as all the fun at Peppa Pig Theme Park like playing in the sandbox sifting treasures, and riding Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat. Passes for Universal were provided by Universal Orlando, and Peppa Pig Theme Park tickets were courtesy of Merlin’s Magic Wand.
Hotel Kinetic provided accommodations for Ensley’s once-in-a-lifetime getaway. They made her feel so special welcoming her with a basket, gifting her Anna and Elsa dolls, a Minnie Mouse plush, and some other goodies. Ensley also loved spending time at their pool. During the wish, her family had memorable dinners at Mia’s Italian Kitchen, Bahama Breeze Island Grille, and Uno Pizzeria & Grill.
“We are truly grateful for such a magical trip,” said Ensley’s mom. “Ensley had the most amazing time.”
