Aiden was able to enjoy being a kid and having fun

Wish Builds Supersized Fun at LEGOLAND

Aiden loves building LEGO sets and wanted to experience the imaginative world of supersized and colorful bricks at LEGOLAND. Kids Wish Network, a children's charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, built his adventure with tickets for Aiden and his family to experience LEGOLAND Florida's theme park, and a LEGO lover's stay at its extraordinary resort. Their vibrant accommodations resembled a giant pirate-themed LEGO set and provided continuous family fun with LEGO-themed activities and whimsical touches throughout. He especially enjoyed the in-room scavenger hunt, pirate-themed elevators, and playing with LEGOs in the lobby and pool. At LEGOLAND’s theme park, they experienced thrilling rides, shows, and massive awe-inspiring LEGO displays. 

“Aiden had a wonderful Wish Day at LEGOLAND and loved the Pirate Island Hotel!” said his mom Melissa. “Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for the gift of this time for Aiden to just enjoy being a kid and having fun. Our family is so appreciative and grateful to Kids Wish Network!”

He has juvenile dermatomyositis, a type of arthritis in children that causes inflammation and swelling of the muscles and blood vessels under the skin. It results in muscle weakness and can affect various organs, as well as skin. He also copes with calcinosis in his knees which makes walking difficult.

"Aiden was so excited to finally experience all the amazing attractions and colorful LEGO displays that he’s been dreaming about," said his Wish Coordinator Kim Kreiner.
