Wish Artfully Aligns for Aspiring Graphic Designer

MOUNT VERNON, Ind.(March 2024): Layne aspires to be a graphic designer. He’s already won major accolades taking first place in digital design for an art competition that included schools from five counties. Layne didn’t have his own computer, so Kids Wish Network further inspired him with all the necessary essentials, purchasing him an Apple iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Macbook Pro for his academic endeavors now and in the future. He found about his wish while visiting the University of Southern Indiana for a tour of the Department of Art and Design. One of the Graphic Design professors was in on the surprise, and revealed his meaningful wish. “I’m really glad that I was able to be a part of the surprise reveal,” said Assistant Professor Chuck Armstrong. “It was fun and touching watching him open everything up.”

Layne has Crohn’s disease, a chronic illness that causes inflammation of tissues in the digestive tract. He undergoes 4 hour infusion sessions every 8 weeks.

Many Thanks

Kids Wish Network could not have provided this wish to Layne without the help of the many supporters who believe in making wishes come true for kids who need hope. Visit www.kidswishnetwork.org to learn about our different programs.

Kids Wish Network has been making dreams come true for children since 1997. We are dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children experiencing life-altering situations. We started with the single purpose of granting wishes to children suffering from life-threatening conditions but have since created additional programs to benefit kids nationwide, including Hero of the Month, Project Toy Drop, Holiday of Hope Gift Banks, and A Child Forever Funeral Assistance.

Every kid’s wish is worth the investment because every wish changes a life.

If you would like to sponsor a child’s wish, or if you know a child who is suffering from a life-threatening illness and may be in need of Kids Wish Network’s wish-granting services, please call 727-789-0008.
