Newly Diagnosed Teen Faces a Whole New World

Johanna was recently diagnosed with a life-changing condition causing her frequent hospitalizations. She also had to learn many new skills in self-administering treatments, and cope with several challenges at once. She is a calm, sweet and thoughtful person. 

Johanna was nominated by Adrienne Feilden, her Child Life Specialist at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in Fountain Valley, California. Kids Wish Network rewarded this brave and adaptive teen as a Hero of the Month.
