Hero with Rare Condition Stays Strong Amid Ongoing Struggles

“My sweet girl has been through so much, yet remains so strong. Asenath is so loving, happy and kind no matter what life throws at her. She has a rare autoimmune disease that affects her brain and spinal cord. She has suffered the loss of some vision in her eyes, and is still dealing with seizures and getting her meds adjusted to help prevent them. She also has the biggest heart for others. “When I think of a hero, she is the first person who comes to my mind,” said her mom. “She is a force, and she amazes me every single day.”

She was nominated by her Child Life Specialist Ashley Abraham at Integris Health in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kids Wish Network is so pleased to honor Asenath as a Hero.
