Power Shopping Takes on New Meaning with Extravagant Spree
SPARTA, Tenn. (December 2023): Zackary received a surprise video call from Kids Wish Network revealing that his wish for a Walmart shopping spree was coming true. He was so excited getting to shop for all the things he wanted at his favorite store. Kids Wish Network purchased Zackary a Walmart gift card loaded with spending money for his spree, and Walmart graciously provided a generous grant to super boost his extravagant wish. That same day, Tractor Supply Company had Zackary come to their store to further celebrate his big news, surprising him with gifts for his adored new therapy horse. It was an exciting start to his incredible wish.
When his big day arrived, Walmart made him feel very special with a balloon arch, poster and cake for a festive kickoff to his once-in-a-lifetime shopping experience. It was such a memorable day. Zackary had the most amazing time power shopping for an iPhone, boots, video games, remote control cars, cat accessories, and more. The store manager also went above and beyond for his wish. Zackary and his mom said they have a new friend.
Before Zackary’s diagnosis, he had a raspy cough which turned out to be a symptom of lymphoblastic lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. Testing revealed he had a mass in his chest, and he underwent rounds of chemotherapy and multiple medications. After his active treatments were completed, Zackary coped with spinal taps to monitor his health.
