Wish Kid Keion Had a WWE Experience of a Lifetime

Keion was not meeting his development markers as an infant. At one year old, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, his course of treatment has been Botox and surgery, followed by physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

Keion loves watching his favorite basketball team, the Indiana Pacers, but more than anything, Keion is a huge WWE fan. He knows all of the wrestlers and has a huge collection of WWE action figurines. “He has about 100 wrestling action figures,” said his mother, Quiona Ackles. Kids Wish Network granted Keion’s wish and sent him and his family on a very special trip to Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena to attend a WWE Smackdown event.

Before the WWE event began, the teen was able to meet and spend some personal time with his all-time favorite wrestler and WWE superstar, Dean Ambrose. During his time with Dean Ambrose, the generous WWE superstar presented Keion with several specialized Dean Ambrose merchandise items including a shirt, a hat, and a medallion necklace. The time Keion was able to spend with Dean was such a dream come true for him, it is easy to see from the photos that it was a day Keion will always remember.

During his wish, Keion and his family stayed at the Aloft Detroit at the David Whitney. In addition to attending the WWE Smackdown event and meeting, Dean Ambrose, Keion was also treated to a fun-filled day at the Michigan Science Center. The family was also provided a wonderful dinner courtesy of world-famous Hard Rock Café, Detroit.

“I never experienced anything like that,” said his mother, Quiona. “It was so amazing and appropriate for him. I want to give a big thank-you to the Kids Wish Network. They were awesome. He still talks about it.”
