Annabelle embraces adventure and is captivated by many of the scenic landmarks gracing our country. She has many places she hopes to venture to, and the magnificent Gateway Arch was at the top of her list. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, sent her on an exciting journey to explore the Gateway of the West!
Annabelle’s family traveled to St. Louis for an adventure that was brimming with new sights and experiences revolving around the iconic Gateway Arch, the tallest U.S. man-made monument towering at 630 feet. It was an exciting time of exploration that included a tram ride to the top of the Arch, a documentary about the history of the structure, and a memorable riverboat cruise on the Mighty Mississippi with picturesque views of the majestic landmark. “Seeing her look out the top of the Arch with excitement was definitely a highlight!” said her mom Rhonda. “I also loved watching Annabelle seeing and doing all the different things in the city.”
During her wish, Anabelle’s family also enjoyed beautiful accommodations at Courtyard St. Louis Downtown/Convention Center, and memorable dining experiences at The Old Spaghetti Factory and Pieces – The St. Louis Board Game Bar & Café.
Annabelle struggles with the challenges of Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammatory condition of the digestive tract. “We’re glad we could give Annabelle a very special experience to keep her focused on her dreams,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
