Wish is a ‘Thriller’ for California Girl

Veronica loves the song “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, and was surprised to see her favorite singer’s striking resemblance knocking on her door… It was actually Michael Jackson impersonator and tribute artist Michael Spirit. He delivered a dazzling performance of the legendary King of Pop’s signature dance moves, and a special message that Veronica’s wish was coming true with Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses. She would soon be venturing to Las Vegas for an electrifying musical adventure. Kids Wish Network flew Veronica and her parents to Vegas to see Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil. “She had a great time, it was an amazing show,” said her mom Stefanie. “They even had a hologram of Michael singing.” During Veronica’s wish, her family stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Convention Center Las Vegas. The hotel learned about her interests before her arrival, and surprised Veronica with art supplies and all of her favorite beverages and snacks in her room. She also had a fun afternoon star gazing at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas wax museum, and a rockin’ dinner at the Hard Rock Café Las Vegas, who also gifted her quintessential Hard Rock swag. Veronica has been battling colon cancer, autoimmune hepatitis, and severe ulcerative colitis. She’s already undergone a major surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy, and will still need additional surgeries. “It gave her a break from the reality of her life,” said her mom. Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai said, “It was so fun creating a wish for Veronica that enabled her to experience her favorite legendary entertainer in an imaginative way.”
