Xavier loves playing with LEGOs and wished to experience LEGOLAND Florida. It’s been difficult for him struggling with the effects of cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that damages the lungs, digestive system and additional organs. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made his dream come true, snapping together the perfect wish.
It all began with a surprise visit to Universal Studios in Hollywood, CA for Xavier’s ninth birthday. He had a blast on all the exciting rollercoasters and water rides. During his special day, he found out that Kids Wish Network was also flying his family to the Sunshine State for a colorful stay at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort.
After arriving in Florida and checking in to LEGOLAND’s resort, Xavier was excited to discover his room and the entire floor he was staying on had a pirate theme. “My favorite part was seeing Xavier’s face when he opened the door to our room and saw all the pirate decorations,” said his mom Rosalyn. He loved his pirate-themed room and the resort’s disco dance parties in the elevator. His time at LEGOLAND’s theme park was also memorable. His favorite ride was the Coastersaurus roller coaster where he glided through a prehistoric jungle filled with colorful life-sized LEGO dinosaur models. “Florida was really fun!” exclaimed Xavier.
During the wish, his family dined at the Kona Grill, where Xavier decided yellowtail is his new favorite sushi. They also enjoyed a memorable dinner at Chili’s.
“Xavier’s wish combined so many of his interests that spark his joy,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following sponsors for making Xavier’s dreams become a reality:
