Gavin Bullington loves dinosaurs and has always wanted to visit San Diego. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses, made his dream come true with a trip to San Diego to visit Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and Jurassic Quest. Gavin couldn’t wait to go on his Jurassic adventures.
Gavin had to have surgery to remove a brain tumor when he was only six years old. While the operation was successful Gavin had issues with recovery and was later diagnosed with Posterior Fossa Syndrome. Gavin’s conditions affect his ability to speak, walk, and eat.
Gavin and his family went to Safari Park for their first adventure. Afterward, they arrived at Hotel Republic in San Diego. Gavin and his sister Rhea were surprised with Christmas presents given to them by the hotel staff. The family stayed in the presidential suite and had a second room for extra space.
The next day Gavin and his family went to Sea World where they had a whale of time watching the dolphin and killer whale shows and exploring all the different exhibits. A delicious dinner was arranged at Juniper and Ivy.
After his first day at Sea World Gavin and his family headed over to the San Diego Zoo for a fun-filled day exploring all the habitats. After their safari adventure Gavin and his family had a wonderful meal at Searsucker. Gavin and his family also experienced Jurassic Quest. Gavin dug up fossils, rode dinosaur themed rides, and saw dozens of realistic dinosaur animatronics. Gavin loved Jurassic Quest, the perfect adventure to end an exciting wish.
