Jennifer has struggled with so many challenges in her young life. She’s undergone surgeries to repair her cleft palate, has craniofacial deformity and scoliosis. These difficulties were compounded with the cruelty of also being bullied because of her physical differences. Jennifer is very empathetic to others, especially if they’ve also experienced the hurtful traumas of bullying. Therapy has helped her heal emotionally, and she’s been brave in dealing with her life difficulties. She was nominated as a Hero by her social worker at Children’s Rehabilitation Services in Alabama. We’re proud to honor Jennifer as a Hero of the Month!
Testimonial from Jennifer’s social worker Attallah Cotton at Children’s Rehabilitation Services:
I am emailing to express our appreciation at Children’s Rehabilitation Service to partner with such a great organization such as Kids Wish Network! We were able to present Kids Wish Network’s Hero award to Jennifer to make her world a little better! This gift card and expression of love and appreciation of our client could not have come at a better time. She is in the process of obtaining her own apartment, and now she has received more support to access the items she will need. WE JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU SINCERELY!!!
Thank you Attallah for your kind words and sharing an update on Jennifer… it really touched our hearts and we look forward to rewarding more deserving Heroes!
