California Dreaming Continues for Wish Kid

Reagan couldn’t wait for his upcoming wish trip to California through Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses. Kids Wish was flying his family to The Golden State for an unforgettable adventure experiencing Hollywood and Disneyland. His anticipation was building, it was almost time for his dream to come true. Then the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and the theme parks closed along with most everything throughout the country. It was such a letdown being so close to his big wish, and then having it shut down.  It was very comforting for him to find out that it was still going to happen. Kids Wish gave him a special travel package, providing his family with airline credit from the original flight, and purchased Hayden a generous Disney Gift card that can be used for anything in the parks, and a gift card. It’ll be such a special time of family togetherness when Disneyland reopens and they’re able to travel.

Reagan was born with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a group of disorders that affect connective tissues supporting blood vessel walls, joints, skin, and other organs and tissues throughout the body. He has weak knees, and problems with his feet and ankles, causing him to tire easily. Reagan additionally deals with stomach issues, and underwent surgery on his esophagus when he was a toddler.

“We’re so happy Reagan will be able to experience all the things he’s been dreaming of with his family,” said his Wish Coordinator Kim Kreiner.
