Allie kicks up the dust with luke bryan

“She felt like a star”

Country music fan Allisen had the wish of a lifetime granted when she got to meet country star, Luke Bryan, after attending his concert in North Carolina as part of his “Kick up the Dust” tour. Allisen is 9-years-old and has a primary immune deficiency, a life-threatening condition where the body lacks the amount of protein needed to fight off bacteria and viruses.

Retailer Justice presented Allisen with a $100 gift card for her to choose an ensemble to wear to the concert. They even dressed up the changing room for her and put her name on the door so she would feel like the “star” she is. Allisen left with an adorable new outfit to wear on her big night out. Allisen didn’t show up empty handed to meet her idol; proper southern manners prompted her to bring Luke a present. Knowing that he was born and raised in Georgia, Allisen gave Luke a Georgia Bulldogs hat with his name monogrammed on it. “He really liked it!” said Allisen.

After a whirlwind evening of dancing and singing along to Luke’s greatest hits, Allisen spent the next day going on a mini shopping spree! Claire’s provided Allisen with a huge goodie bag loaded with accessories that she absolutely adored. They also let her pick out a tiara to take home with her. The little princess donned that tiara for the rest of her wish trip. Bath & Body Works joined in on the fun and gifted her with so many fragrances that she had trouble carrying them all. “I was getting worried that we were not going to be able to fit everything in the car on the way home,” joked Allisen’s mom, Cynthia. A gift card from Bed Bath & Beyond bought Allisen a giant stuffed Olaf, the lovable & now huggable character from one of her favorite movies, Frozen. Allisen couldn’t leave the mall without making one last stop at Rock Mountain Chocolate Factory, where she where she indulged her sweet tooth by entering every chocolate lover’s paradise.

Allisen’s dream trip continued with visits to Sea Life, Discovery Center, and Chuck E. Cheese’s. The family enjoyed each activity, but Chuck E. Cheese’s was the biggest hit for Allisen. The franchise’s mouse mascot, Chuck, even came out to greet Allisen as well as provide her with 100 tokens to play games with while she made the rounds in the arcades. During dinner, the staff even surprised Allisen with a cake. Going above and beyond expectations was also something that Longhorn Steakhouse took part in. The restaurant decorated Allisen’s table in a princess theme, had a cake ready for her, gave her a digital camera, and a keepsake t-shirt that said “Living it up with Luke.” With the goal of making Wish Kid Allisen feel special in mind, each and every Guardian Angel sponsor delivered.
