Rylee has a special love for the performing arts and has always wanted to see a live Broadway musical. She suffers from an autoimmune condition, and Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made her dream come true with tickets for Rylee and her family to see Les Miserables, provided by the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Rylee had a list of musicals and plays she wanted to see, and Les Miserables was right at the top. “I really liked the story and the actors were great. It was also really interesting to think about all the people who go into making the show successful, especially everyone backstage and in the orchestra,” said Rylee.
During her wish, Rylee and her family had a wonderful dinner at Midwood Smokehouse and stayed at the beautiful Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel located in the heart of the city. “We had a wonderful time. Rylee loves Broadway and it was nice to see her in her element having fun with what she enjoys,” said her mom Kristine.
“We’re so glad we could give Rylee what she wished for and more,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
