A Monster Wish Come True

Wyatt loves Monster Trucks, and wanted to see Monster Jam to experience all the high octane excitement of his favorite drivers and trucks competing for victory.  Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, crushed it, giving him a Monster Jam experience beyond his biggest dreams. Wyatt struggles with intractable multifocal epilepsy, causing daily seizures.

Monster Jam, Feld Entertainment and Arrowhead Events made his wish extra special with a spectacular VIP experience. Wyatt spent hours with Monster Truck Grave Digger driver Adam Anderson, and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Wyatt was thrilled receiving extraordinary gifts…Hardman presented him with a signed Chiefs jersey personalized with his name, and Monster Jam generously gifted him a Power Wheels replica of Grave Digger. He also felt like a Monster Truck superstar getting to ride it on the dirt track. To complete Wyatt’s jam-packed dream come true, he’ll also be attending this weekend’s Monster Jam in Kansas City, including pit passes for the ultimate Monster Jam experience.

During Wyatt’s wish, his family enjoyed LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City, beautiful accommodations at Sheraton Overland Park Hotel, and memorable dinners at Overland Park Grill by J. Alexander’s, and RA Sushi Bar Restaurant.

“We’re so grateful to Monster Jam, Feld Entertainment, and Arrowhead Events for going above and beyond, and a special thanks to Adam Anderson and Mecole Hardman for taking time out of their day for Wyatt’s fabulous wish,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.

“Above & beyond” is an understatement. Brent, Tambra, Ranci and to everyone with your Wish Charity in Florida that helped make Wyatt’s wish a reality, we Thank You!

Kids Wish Network provided a beautiful suite at Sheraton in Overland Park, and Kevin the manager of the hotel left gifts and treats for Wyatt upon our arrival at the hotel. Dinner was accommodated at two amazing restaurants, J. Alexander’s and RA Sushi which the managers and staff went out of their way for Wyatt as well.

Kids Wish Network even generously sent Wyatt to LEGOLAND® for a day and he loved it! There really isn’t a big enough thank you card out there to tell you guys how grateful we are for the time, effort and investment that was taken to give Wyatt this Wish! He has a memory that will last a lifetime and a new extended family in Florida!

The whole first day of Wyatt’s wish and time we spent down on Arrowhead Field was amazing. It was truly unforgettable for all of us to meet new Kansas City Chief Wide Receiver, Mecole Hardman! He was very outgoing and funny with Wyatt, and he even took my camera and snapped a few photos of Wyatt and his new Grave Digger car with it!

Most people don’t understand what Wyatt goes through or what any child with epilepsy does. These kids deserve the world and Adam Anderson (Driver of Grave Digger) said it best, Wyatt has had a hard few years and bringing some light into it and giving back has made a real Wish come true for Wyatt!

Thank You from our whole family!

    -Wyatt, Hunter, Aaron & Megan
