A Heartfelt Shopping Spree for Alabama Girl

Allison loves to shop and wanted a personalized shopping spree. She suffers from a life-threatening condition, and Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, planned a two-day shopping spree at the Riverchase Galleria mall.

Allison and her family drove to the Riverchase Galleria where Allison went to all of her favorite stores. When she arrived at JCPenny, she was greeted by gleeful sales associates and was welcomed with a huge bouquet of pink roses. She had her own personal shoppers there, and after picking out some amazing outfits, she had a makeover at Sephora. After an amazing time at JC Penney, Allison went to Claire’s, Journeys, Skechers, and Yankee Candle. She loved her experience at Yankee Candle making her own custom candle that she decorated with a picture of her pet guinea pig. “I’ve never seen her smile this much,” said Allison’s mom Lori. For lunch, Allison and her family dined at Outback Steakhouse. Allison fell in love with their blooming onion appetizer and can’t wait to have it again. After lunch Allison visited Old Navy, Justice, Belk and Lids. Every store Allison went to warmly welcomed her. She received dozens of goodies and gift cards throughout her shopping extravaganza. During her two-day shopping spree, Allison and her family also dined at Olive Garden, Starbucks, and Chick-fil-A. Allison had a wonderful time and can’t wait to use the rest of the gift cards she got from the stores to purchase even more of her favorite things. “My mom was exhausted by the end, but I wanted to keep going,” said Allison. During her wish the family stayed at the Hyatt Regency Wynfrey Hotel.

“We’d like to thank all the generous sponsors for making Allison’s shopping spree so spectacular,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai
