Riley-Ann loves the Disney show Fancy Nancy and the movie Trolls. She suffers from Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare condition that affects connective tissues that provide strength and flexibility to skin, joints and blood vessel walls. She also struggles with a variety of other conditions. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, took two of Riley-Ann’s favorite things and crafted a magical wish, flying her to Orlando for a theme park extravaganza. She spent her wish at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and Hollywood studios as well as Universal Studios. She met all her favorite Disney and Universal characters including Fancy Nancy and some of her favorite trolls including Branch, Poppy, and Guy Diamond. “We had a wonderful time, it just went by so fast.” said Riley-Ann’s mother Meaghan. “My wish was the best,” said Riley-Ann.
She and her mom stayed at the Red Lion Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista South, where she was gifted a Minnie Mouse backpack and doll. They enjoyed dinners at Taco Maker Mexican Grill and The Cheesecake Factory, and were also invited to Uno Pizzeria & Grill, but Riley-Ann was not feeling well and was unable to go.
“Riley-Ann’s wish enabled her to focus on all the things that make her happy,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
