Alexandra required to be transferred to our hospital due to needing a higher level of care related to severe pneumonia,” said her Child Life Specialist. She required over a week-long stay, as well as a procedure in interventional radiology for a chest tube placement. She was brave in dealing with so many tests and treatments. She is spunky and kept a positive attitude throughout all of the uncertainties and difficulties of her stay. She and her family have dealt with so much in the past months.

She was nominated by her Child Life Specialist Adrienne Feilden at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in Fountain Valley, California. Kids Wish Network rewarded Alexandra as a Hero of the Month for her courage, positivity and determination.
