ATLANTA, Ga. (January 2020): Jacob is a huge LeBron James fan and his wish was to see the Los Angeles Lakers play live for the very first time. He suffers from Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory disease of the digestive tract. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life threatening illnesses, made Jacob’s wish come true by purchasing his family tickets to the Lakers game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Jacob had an exciting time at the game and loved seeing his favorite player in action. “It was awesome seeing LeBron dunk the ball in person,” said Jacob. The game was neck and neck until the very end with the Lakers winning by a mere five points. “I loved seeing him smile from ear to ear when he was watching LeBron,” said Jacob’s mom Crystal.
Before the amazing game Jacob had a delicious steak and shrimp lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. Jacob and his family enjoyed beautiful accommodations at The Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park. During their stay, the hotel hosted their Festival of Trees fundraiser where they admired all the holiday décor, including a festive Christmas tree decorated by Kids Wish Network. The hotel staff welcomed him with a hat and Fortnite figurine.
“We’re so glad Jacob could feel the excitement of a live game, cheering on his favorite player,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following sponsors for making Jacob’s dreams become a reality:
