Guest Blog By: Lacey Garrison – Wish Trip to Disney World

Thank you Kids Wish Network for making our daughters’ dream of seeing the Disney Princesses come true. Mackenzie was born with the rarest form of genetic bone marrow failure, which took a year to diagnose. At 16 months old she underwent a lifesaving bone marrow transplant with a low chance of surviving. Throughout her transplant and strict isolation process for a year to follow, Disney Princesses were all she looked forward to.

Kids Wish Network made the impossible possible for our family. With the flight, hotel, and Disney parks covered, we were able to make her big dream come true! Preparing for the trip, Mackenzie made it clear who she was going to see! Elsa, Anna, Cinderella, Belle, and Merida were all she talked about!

Our first day we attended Hollywood Studios, where meeting Disney Junior characters started off the trip perfectly! Then a complimentary dinner at Outback Steakhouse. The staff at Outback was absolutely amazing! They greeted us with a gift for Mackenzie, and all employees were on board to make her feel like a princess!

The second day we headed to Epcot with a map to find the princesses, Mickey and Minnie! This day was the most amazing day for us! Mackenzie has such a loving attachment to the princesses, and seeing her with them truly melted our hearts!

Our final day at Disney was Magic Kingdom! This was an amazing finish to our trip, finally getting to meet everyone on her list! For dinner, we visited Hash House A Go Go! ABSOLUTELY amazing food! Mackenzie enjoyed her favorite meal…pancakes!

Lastly, we will never be able to thank you for the joy and happiness you brought to our sweet girl! This was a trip we will cherish forever!

Thank you,

The Garrisons
