BATON ROUGE, La. (December 2019): Kaitlyn and her dad bond over watching televised LSU Tigers games together, it’s a special pastime they share. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made Kaitlyn’s dream come true, sending her family to the LSU Tigers home game against the Arkansas Razorbacks at Tiger Stadium.
They arrived early to explore Tiger Stadium and the pre-game activities. Having sideline passes, Kaitlyn and her family made their way to the field to watch the team warm up and take pictures with a member of the LSU Spirit Squad. They had some of the best seats in the house and were 13 rows up from the field at the fifty-yard line. Kaitlyn loved watching the game and seeing the LSU mascot Mike the Tiger. Kaitlyn was also excited to see her favorite team secure another win in a long line of victories in the current season.
During her wish, Kaitlyn and her family stayed at Staybridge Suites Lafayette-Airport where she was greeted by staff and balloons. She had an amazing time at the game and a memorable dinner at the stadium. “The wish will remind her that she can do anything and give her extra drive to make it through the hard times,” said Kaitlyn’s mom Sarah
Kaitlyn deals with challenges from her life-threatening condition. “It’s wonderful giving Kaitlyn a wish that holds such special meaning for her and provides family togetherness,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
