CHANDLER, Texas. (September 2019): Kamysta Wilcox has spent a lot of her life in and out of the hospital due to her illness. She suffers from chromosome 15q deletion, a rare genetic chromosome abnormality condition. She loves video games and really wanted a new gaming system. Kamysta recently had to start taking online classes because of her multiple hospital visits and has difficulty leaving her house due to the symptoms of her condition. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses purchased Kamysta a Nintendo Switch and multiple gift cards to Nintendo, Walmart, Target, GameStop, and Best Buy so she can pick out her favorite video games and accessories for her new game system. “It is really hard for her to go out of the house at this time,” said Kamysta’s mom Lori.
“Kamysta’s wish will make her time at home more entertaining when her condition prevents her from getting out of the house,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
