LOS ANGELES, Calif. (September 2019): Kash Stevenson loves Disney and always wanted to meet Mickey Mouse. He suffers from bilateral retinoblastoma, a rare malignant tumor of the retina that can cause blindness. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses made Kash’s dream come true and flew him and his family to Los Angeles for a Disney adventure he would never forget.
Kash spent his first few days at Disneyland Park. He had a magical time on the rides, his favorite was Dumbo the Flying Elephant. He also met some of his favorite characters including Mickey and Minnie Mouse. After his first amazing day, he was treated to a wonderful seafood dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. During dinner, Kash was surprised with a backpack filled with goodies and a light up collector cup to take home with him.
Kash spent the rest of his wish at Disney’s California Adventure Park. He had an amazing time and even got a fast pass to skip the lines when meeting characters. He got a picture and autograph with every character in the park. After a fun-filled Disney adventure, the family was treated to a countrified dinner at Saddle Ranch Chop House. They had an awesome time, and Kash loved watching his brothers ride the mechanical bull. As a special treat, the restaurant gave Kash a super-sized glass overflowing with pink cotton candy. On their last day of adventure, the family went to Universal Studios. Kash had an awesome time meeting the Minions and loved the Butterbeer soda from Hogwarts.
“Kash’s magical wish trip was a special time of family togetherness that they’ll always remember,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
