Wish is Doggone Fun with Retail Therapy

COLUMBUS, Texas (August 2019): Hannah Kunschick loves dogs, and wanted hers to be trained to be a therapy dog. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made her dream come true, setting up an afternoon for Hannah and her dog with a trainer to learn obedience and socialization skills. Circumstances changed, and her family moved to another state before she could receive the training. With the big move, there was so much that she wanted to shop for, so instead, Kids Wish Network gave Hannah a generous Walmart gift card so she could deck out her room in her favorite décor, or pick out special items for herself.

Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai said, “Moving brings so many changes in a child’s life, and Hannah will have so much fun picking out all the things that bring her joy.”

Kids Wish Network is a national charitable organization dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children with life-threatening conditions and struggling with life-altering situations. KWN provides for trip expenses, meals, accommodations and additional spending monies to all wish families whenever traveling as applicable.
