ORLANDO, Fla. (August 2019): Wesley Wright loves building LEGOs and suffers from a life-threatening condition. He has always wanted to visit the LEGOLAND theme park and hotel. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, granted Wesley’s wish and sent his family to Florida for a colorful brick-filled wish.
Wesley and his family were flown to Orlando, where they stayed at the LEGOLAND Hotel. They had an amazing adventure themed hotel room complete with bunk beds, treasure maps, and LEGO bricks for them to build their own unique creations. Wesley also had an amazing time at LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s theme park and loved going on all the rides. He even received a Hero Pass so he wouldn’t have to wait in line. His favorite was the roller coaster Flying School that took him on a whimsical ride five stories tall with lots of fun twists and dips. After an amazing first day at the parks, the family had a delicious dinner at Chili’s, where the wait staff surprised Wesley with a bunch of new LEGO sets and a gift card for his sister.
Wesley also enjoyed a day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and a tropical dinner at Bahama Breeze.
“We’re so glad we could give Wesley a colorful and fun-filled adventure with his family,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
