ORLANDO, Fla. (July 2019): Alejandra loves learning and Apple products, and wished for a laptop that she could use for her college courses. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, made her dream come true, purchasing Alejandra a silver MacBook Air, complete with a translation app for her and her Spanish speaking parents.
She suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells. When she arrived at her local Apple store to pick up her MacBook, a manager from the store was there to greet her and walk her through the basics of her new computer and how to use her language translation app. In addition to her new MacBook, Alejandra will also be receiving tickets to Disney World. Despite living in Orlando, Alejandra has never experienced the magic of Disney and is excited to go.
“It’s wonderful to create a wish that will bring Alejandra happiness and benefit her education and future career,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
