ORLANDO, Fla. (May 2019): Owen loves theme parks and dreamed of visiting Orlando to visit its magical parks. Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes for kids with life-threatening illnesses, granted his wish and flew Owen and his family to Orlando for an awesome time at Disney World and Universal Studios. Owen has congenital adrenal hyperplasia, a hormone imbalance that prevents his body from producing important hormones.
Owen and his family enjoyed Mediterranean style accommodations at WorldQuest Orlando Resort. The staff surprised him with Mickey and Minnie Mouse plush dolls. He loved the resort and especially playing in the pool after his days at the parks. Owen had fun-filled day at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot during his Disney World adventure. He liked visiting all the different countries at Epcot and his favorite was the scenery and food at the China pavilion. He also loved the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in the Magic Kingdom. That night they had a hearty dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse.
Owen and his family went to Universal Studios on the last day of his wish, and enjoyed gold passes for express entry onto rides. He had a blast, and especially liked Spiderman 3D and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter rides. That night they had a delicious meal at Texas Roadhouse.
“Owen keeps telling all his friends about his adventures in Orlando,” said his mom Valerie.
“We’re glad we could give Owen so many theme park adventures that went beyond his dreams,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
