HATTIESBURG, Miss. (April 2019): Tyson loves sports, especially basketball. His favorite player is LeBron James, who he looks up to for inspiration. He wanted to see LeBron play live, and Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses, sent Tyson a Ticketmaster and additional gift cards so he and his family can attend a game when the basketball season starts up again. Tyson suffers from a life-threatening illness. “I’m really excited about everything and can’t wait until next season to begin,” said Tyson.
In addition to his generous gift cards, the LeBron James Family Foundation donated a custom pair of Nike Lebron 16 basketball shoes. Tyson was ecstatic to receive such a special gift. Lebron also wrote a personalized letter encouraging Tyson to follow his heart and commending him on his bravery and perseverance in the face of his illness. Tyson additionally received several bracelets and a pair of wireless Beats headphones by Dre. He loved his wish and can’t wait for the next basketball season so he can see his basketball idol play live. “The whole experience really brightened Tyson’s outlook,” said his mother Tasha.
“We’re happy to give Tyson a wish that has such special meaning for him. We’re also grateful to the LeBron James Family Foundation for helping to make Tyson’s dream come true,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
