ORLANDO, Fla. (March 2019): Cayden Krueger loves theme parks and football. His favorite team is the Green Bay Packers, and he always wanted to visit Disney World and Universal Studios. Kids Wish Network flew him and his family to Orlando, Florida for his great Disney adventure.
Cayden suffers from chronic immune thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP), an autoimmune disease that prevents his body from producing platelets in his blood. This condition prevents any injuries he receives from healing fully without medical intervention. He had his wish revealed during the super bowl. Not only did Cayden get a trip to experience Orlando theme parks but the Green Bay Packers sent him a special care package. He especially loved the football signed by the entire team, and the autographed photo from his favorite player Aaron Rodgers.
During his wish trip, Cayden and his family stayed at The Residence Inn located in downtown Orlando. They were greeted by the hotel staff and were surprised with gifts and a decorative football field goal with balloons set up in his room. After settling in, they explored the Sea Life Aquarium and had an absolute blast.
The next day, Cayden explored Disney World, and enjoyed park hopper passes to visit all four Disney parks. They first went to Magic Kingdom where Cayden got to meet Mickey and Minnie and rode tons of classic Disney rides. His favorites were the new Avatar ride and Space Mountain. Later that night they had dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. Cayden spent the next day Disney hopping between the different parks and meeting all his favorite characters. After his last day at Disney, they had a wonderful outdoor dinner at Bahama Breeze.
After his magical time at Disney, Cayden and his family went to Universal Studios where they were provided fast passes for all the exciting rides. Cayden got to meet and take a photo with his favorite X-Man Wolverine. That night they enjoyed a fun dinner and bowling experience at Splitsville to end Cayden’s wonderful wish.
“We pride ourselves on personalizing our wishes to each of our Wish Kids interests and we were thrilled to be able to combine the two things Cayden loves most into one fantastic wish,” Said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
