LaGrange, Ga. (January 2019): Molly Crooks has always wanted to go to the Great Wolf Lodge, and Kids Wish Network, a children’s charity that grants wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses, made her dream come true, sending her on a wild wish to the amazing resort.
Molly’s adventure began after arriving at the Great Wolf Lodge in LaGrange Georgia. Upon arrival, Molly and her family were surprised to learn that their original room had been upgraded to a suite, courtesy of the Great Wolf Lodge. Molly and her family explored and experienced many of the resort’s dynamic attractions.
“She was really brave in doing all the adventure activities. She tried new things and it really built her confidence,” said Molly’s mom.
Molly had a wonderful time and made sure to go on every water slide she could find. She loved the awesome water park and she even faced her fear of heights and conquered the perilous Howler’s Peak Ropers Course.
“I loved the Triple Thunder Water Slide, Snow Land, and the lazy river,” said Molly.
Molly was hospitalized after being exposed to life-threatening E. coli. bacteria, and was later diagnosed with hemolytic uremic syndrome, a condition that leads to the destruction of blood platelets, low red blood cell count, and can lead to kidney failure. Because of her syndrome, Molly eventually developed chronic kidney disease. Molly likes to create art to help take her mind off of her condition, and as a part of her wish, she received an artistic desk and other art supplies for her creative outlet.
“Our wish kids are incredibly brave and we are happy to give them experiences that inspire joy and wonderment,” said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Tam Lai.
