Makenzie has a magical time at Disneyland and Universal Studios

Makenzie suffers from a Chiari malformation and a tethered cord. Her condition causes numbness and tingling in her right arm and both of her legs which makes school and car rides difficult. Because of her condition, Makenzie has right sided weakness, which means she tires easily and has difficulty writing.

Makenzie loves everything Disney. From Mickey Mouse to Marvel, she is enthralled by everything Disney. Makenzie has always dreamed of being able to go to Disneyland, and Kids Wish Network made her dream come true by flying her and her family to Disneyland and Universal Studios in Anaheim, California. Makenzie began her wish by checking into the Hilton Anaheim. That night, Makenzie and her family dined at the Saddle Ranch Chop House. The next day Makenzie visited Disneyland for the very first time. She thoroughly enjoyed the various rides and meeting all the characters. After a magical first day at Disney, Makenzie and her family had a delicious dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

Makenzie spent the next day exploring Disneyland. She made sure to go on every ride she missed and meet as many characters as she could. After an exhausting second day at Disneyland, Makenzie and her family had a rocking good dinner at Hard Rock Café. The following day they experienced Universal Studios. Makenzie had a blast and loved the rides and dazzling shows. That night, Makenzie and her family were treated to a lovely dinner at Daily Grill in Anaheim, where they reflected on her wonderful wish.

Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following sponsors for making Makenzie’s dreams become a reality:

  • Hilton – Anaheim
  • Saddle Ranch Chop House – Orange
  • Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
  • Hard Rock Café
  • Daily Grill
