Hayden was diagnosed with congenital hyperplasia when he was only 1 week old. Congenital hyperplasia is a life-threatening illness and Hayden must take medication daily in order to stabilize his condition.
He loves sports, especially baseball. His favorite team is the Texas Rangers. It had always been a wish of Hayden’s to see a live Texas Rangers game. Kids Wish Network granted his wish by facilitating a three-day trip to Texas for Hayden to go to a Texas Rangers game.
Hayden and his family traveled from Oklahoma to Texas for his big wish. Upon arriving at their hotel, the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre, Hayden and his family were greeted by the executive assistant to the general manager and were even escorted to their room. Hayden and his family stayed in the presidential suite on the 21st floor. Once they unpacked and settled into their beautiful suite Hayden and his sister Kaylee found gift baskets full of goodies. Hayden found a basket-full of baseball souvenirs and snacks while Kaylee found princess themed souvenirs and snacks in hers.
The next day it was time for Hayden’s big wish day at Globe Life Park. Before the big game Hayden and his family were treated to a wonderful lunch at Pappasito’s Cantina which was located right down the street from the stadium. After lunch, it was time to play ball. Hayden and his family were scheduled to watch batting practice before the game. However, batting practice was cancelled due to rain. Instead Hayden got to meet Jose Leclerc, the pitcher for the Texas Rangers. Lots of picture were taken and Hayden felt really special after meeting the pitcher for his favorite team. After meeting Jose, it was time for the big game. Hayden and his family had incredible seats and he had a blast cheering on his favorite team. Hayden was overjoyed to see his favorite team play on their home field.
The next day, Hayden and his family checked out of their hotel but the fun wasn’t over. First, Hayden stopped at the Dallas World Aquarium where he and his family had a whale of a time observing the marine life on display there. Hayden’s favorite part was the tropical rainforest exhibit where he had the opportunity to see cool rainforest wildlife such as sloths, freshwater fish, and crocodiles. After an astonishing aquatic adventure at the aquarium, Hayden and his family were treated to a knightly dinner at Medieval Times in Dallas. Hayden had a fantastical time at the dinner and jousting show. Hayden was even picked to be knighted before the show as a kingly surprise before heading home from his wish trip.
