Tyler was born with multiple heart conditions including ventricular septal defect, congenital tricuspid atresia and sinus node dysfunction. He has a pacemaker to keep his heart beating. Tyler loves cooking, and wished to learn from a professional chef. He also wanted to experience Disney World. Kids Wish Network got out their colanders and cutting boards and whipped up the perfect culinary experience for Tyler.
Tyler and his mom went to Orlando to attend a pasta demonstration led by Executive Chef Justin Plank at the Terralina Crafted Italian restaurant in Disney Springs. Tyler was graciously gifted a personalized chef jacket with his name embroidered on it, and learned different pasta making techniques. He was incredibly excited to be learning from a true professional. Tyler then got to put his new-found culinary skills to the test and created his own pasta dish from scratch to take home. Tyler had a fantastic time learning different tricks and tips to improve his culinary skills, and enjoyed talking with Justin Plank about his love of cooking.
Shortly after his scrumptious experience with Justin Plank, the second portion of Tyler’s wish was spent visiting fun Florida attractions. Tyler and his family stayed at the amazing Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando. They went to the Aquatica Water Park where Tyler made a splash enjoying the rides and attractions. After a fun filled day in the sun, Tyler and his family dined at Planet Hollywood. He also went to Kennedy Space Center and had a blast learning about astronauts, space travel and seeing all the massive rocket ships and shuttles on display. That night, Tyler had a fun dinner at Splitsville. The next day, his family experienced Busch Gardens. He had a rocking good time going on all the exhilarating rides and watching the dazzling shows. Later they enjoyed a delicious country dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse to end his magnificent wish.
