She loves everything pink, art, sports, listening to country music and dolphins.
Savannah was experiencing digestive issues, had dark circles under her eyes and needed to use the restroom frequently. She underwent various tests. An endoscopy revealed she had celiac disease, a genetic disorder that results in damage to the lining of the small intestine when foods with gluten are eaten. They also discovered Savannah had an autoimmune disease, and she remained in the hospital overnight. She received insulin shots multiple times a day, and was also educated about her additional lifelong condition. Savannah currently uses an insulin pump and takes insulin injections as necessary. It’s really difficult having dietary restrictions for two different conditions.
Savannah greatly admires her mom, and also wants to be a special education teacher when she grows up. She loves everything pink, art, sports, listening to country music and dolphins.
