“My favorite part was seeing him happy and having everyone treat him special. He was the Prince of Everything.”
Andraus’ knee was accidentally punctured with a rusty nail. A mole grew in the injured area, so his mom brought him to the doctor to have it evaluated. After attempted treatments did not remedy the affected area, a biopsy was performed. The biopsy revealed that Andraus had stage 3 melanoma. He underwent surgery, and it was successful in removing the cancer. Andraus had PET scans for the next 6 months, and also continues to see a cancer specialist.
Andraus is sweet and affectionate. He loves playing video games and dreamed about having a Nintendo gaming system.
For Andraus’ wish, the family stayed at the luxurious Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas, and experienced the royal treatment staying in a beautiful suite. Once checked in, Andraus dream come true also included a fun-filled adventure to LEGOLAND Discovery Center. He especially loved all the creative Lego building play zones. After a day of discovery, the family enjoyed a festive feast at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Andraus felt like royalty getting to wear a special crown and watching the actors jousting on horses.
Andraus’ biggest surprise was a special delivery – a Nintendo Switch and Walmart gift card courtesy of Kids Wish Network. The Joule Hotel also presented Andraus with additional video games for his new gaming system. “My favorite part was seeing him happy and having everyone treat him so special,” said his mom Kirstie. “He was the Prince of Everything.”
