For Berlin, it began when she lost vision in her left eye. It took three trips to the emergency room because of continually losing her vision before her family was finally instructed to have Berlin see an optometrist. The optometrist came back with a diagnosis of Optic Neuritis, an inflammation of the optic nerve. Additional tests proved the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
Like many her age, Berlin likes listening to the music of One Direction and Rhianna, watching Walking Dead on TV, and being connected to the internet. And of course, like so many teens, she loves to shop for clothes and shoes.
Kids Wish Network wanted Berlin to have the full VIP treatment for her day of shopping so it began with a chauffeured drive courtesy of Exclusive Sedan Service to Glendale Galleria Mall, the fourth largest mall in Los Angeles County, CA. A team from mall management greeted Berlin with a gift card to begin her shopping which included store gift cards, merchandise, services, and goodie bags of products.
Hours later, Exclusive Sedan Service took Berlin and her mom back to the luxurious Hotel Amarano where the family stayed for a rest before joining the her father and brother for dinner at Daily Grill, a modern, casual restaurant with a full menu of American comfort food.
